a workout rut

Since the marathon, I haven’t done much in the exercising area. I did a couple of workouts the week after (I had a wedding to prepare for) but I haven’t run. And since the few days leading up to the wedding, I haven’t done anything. Not even walk for exercise. I have a friend who doesn’t run a lot of long distances (she does 5k races sometimes) who is running more than I am. That’s how lazy I’ve gotten.

I dragged the Wii Fit out last night, and forced myself to do another half our workout tonight. My arms were pretty sore today and I realized that the soreness came from Wii boxing. That crazy Wii….

I’m wondering if any of my fellow blog readers have the Wii Fit Plus? I can’t tell if the $20 is worth the upgrade. Anyone?

I currently don’t have any races planned. I have new running gloves that aren’t going to be broken in (unless I have a sudden urge to kill my legs) and I need something to work off all of the fruit cake cookies I’ve managed to consume in the past week.

And apparently just reading my Women’s Health magazine isn’t going to help me out. I have to actually exercise.

  1. I don’t have a Wii…but I would love to have it! I know you put your mind to something you will do it, so you just have to get back in the rhythm of exercising and you;ll be back on track in no time!

  2. I have wondered the same thing, Jaime. I like the wii fit alright, but it gets kind of boring. Maybe its worth it just to have something different. Maybe Andy could get it for y’all as a Christmas present. šŸ˜‰
