Year in Review: October-December
Can you believe we’re at the end of 2012??
Here’s my roundup of the last three months of 2012. We were busy!
October
October was a big month! I blogged every day – and I went back to my simpler blog posts. Whatever I wanted to talk about, I write about it.
I blogged about bento lunches for the baby (which I still do a few times each week for him, when I don’t go home for lunch.)
And our beloved cat, who doesn’t get as much love on the blog these days.
I turned 34 in October.
And I started our great garage purge. (It’s not going great. It’s ok, but not great.)
We spent an afternoon at a pumpkin patch.
And I captured fall.
Our little guy started taking steps.
My husband and I celebrated our five year wedding anniversary. And our son was in a baby fashion show!
I ran an 8k race and then a 5k race.
And finally it was Halloween. We celebrated with a dinosaur.
November
I wrote about our evening with the dinosaur.
Our little guy was 14-months-old.
I ran a 12k race (this was my third race in 3 weeks.)
I threw an elephant baby shower for my best friend – and not a moment too soon! She ended up having the baby about 2 weeks later (and 6 weeks early!!)
I decided to make several Christmas gifts. (There will be more on this tomorrow on my blog – complete with photos of the completed gifts!)
I bought a car!
December
Our kiddo turned 15-months-old.
I captured happy.Ā
I began blogging my marathon training updates. (I just completed my sixth week.)
I also finally posted my handmade Christmas projects.
December was a short month in my blog world – mainly because I spent it living and doing, and not blogging.
My 5 goals/hopes for 2013:
(my husband and I are working on resolutions this weekend. Those may be in lieu of or in addition to the following…)Ā
Work on not getting frustrated. Sometimes I find myself getting short with people (even my son who can be QUITE a handful for a wiggly little toddler.)
Complete my fifth full marathon. And run up to two half marathons.
Finally clean the garage. For real.
Find peace, and time, for myself. Time doing what I want to do and not constantly rushing around.Ā
Say “no” more often. I find myself agreeing to too many things.
What a busy last three months! As I type, my husband is trying to clean our garage- its a weekly goal around here. Not sure how it gets so messy- its not like we live in there. Hope your 2013 goes as planned. hugs!
I think we all need to say no more often and realize it is okay to do so! We can only do so much. So jealous of all the races you ran– I have totally stopped running but my goal to get back into it again. And you know I have found that when I just blog about what I want that I enjoy it a lot more.
And what a cute little dragon! Both of our little boys were dragons this year š
Thanks so much for recapping all four weeks
So cool to be so involved in running! I want to run a 5K and I’ve been working on getting there, just not good enough I guess :). I love that you blog about what you want, that’s what you’re supposed to blog about š
