You capture – whatever you want
This week’s You Capture theme was to shoot anything we hadn’t shot before. Earlier this summer, my mom gave us a trumpet flower for the flower beds. I’ve had poor luck with the gladiolas I planted in the spring, so I thought for sure this trumpet flower was doomed.
And then last week it bloomed. I didn’t kill the flower (and there are several other flowers waiting to bloom at the exact perfect time. Just not this week.)
I happened to remember to go back outside after one of my morning runs and take these photos. They were shot before 7 a.m. And I love the details of this flower!
Be sure to head over to Beth’s blog for other You Capture blogs, and to check out Beth’s pictures of course. š I do love her pictures this week!!
I celebrate your green thumb with you!! My blog from last Friday was of my husband’s victory with a canna! Nice picture!
I just checked out your photo. I wonder if I could grow one next year? Now that I’ve managed to get at least one flower to bloom, I feel like I can take on anything!
Such a beautiful flower & great pictures. I don’t think we grow these up north, wish we did.
That is such a wonderful photo. what camera did you get? (i have already forgotten =0 )

Thanks!! Steph, I have the Nikon Coolpix S220 – it’s a small point-and-shoot digital. I love it. š

So pretty and delicate! Love your shots!
I love trumpet vines! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a white flower on them, though. Only orange! The detail in your shots is amazing!!! Love them!
I love those shots from the side. Nice job!
So crisp and white… that flower makes for beautiful photos! Good job!
That is a beautiful flower! And now I know it’s name! I do not have a green thumb, at all.
