You Capture….Autumn

This was a fun you capture week for me. Autumn? I love fall, and I live in one of the greatest places to capture fall colors.

So, with that, here’s a random tree I photographed as I was driving out of a parking lot late last week. (yes, I was really driving):

My favorite place during the fall is my old college – Mars Hill College. I graduated from the school several years ago, was married in the chapel on the campus just two years ago and I’ve only missed one homecoming game since I graduated – the year I got married, since we were just returning from our honeymoon. This past Saturday was the college’s homecoming, so here are some shots from around the campus.

In the bottom-right corner you can see a corner of one of the buildings. I love how the school is just surrounded by the mountains.

And the marching band definitely makes me think of autumn – and reminds me of the many weekends we spent watching my brother when he was in the band.

Definitely a photo overload, and that’s with major editing! Head over to Beth’s blog to check out other autumn posts – or to take part in the challenge.

  1. I’ll be moving to NC (though to the eastern half) next fall for grad school. I’m super nervous about that crazy climate you all have over there (humidity!?) but pictures like these remind me that there will be upsides to the climate…and that includes beautiful autumns.

I can’t wait to make some trips to the Asheville area and the mountains in general during this time of year.

    Thanks for sharing!

  2. I love all your pictures. In my humble opinion, you can never have too many pictures in a post : ) Really fantastic pictures of fall. I love when people have such wonderful memories of their college years!
